Happenings for May 2013 (and beyond)

It's shaping up to be a busy (for Glass Harp standards) month for us.

Tonight in Nashville, Phil receives the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award.

Saturday, May 11th takes us to Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch in Pomeroy, Ohio.  Very exciting, as it will be our first visit there.  While this show sold out some time ago, it will be recorded and broadcast later across several radio stations for the Live From Fur Peace Ranch series, and available for everyone to stream worldwide.  We'll let you know as soon as we know when the air date(s) will be....

Then on Sunday, May 12th, we'll be back in Franklin, PA at the Barrow-Civic Theatre at 7:30 PM.  This has become a really fun show to do, and it's an easy drive from Youngstown, and everywhere in Northwest PA.  Some tickets are still available here, or by calling the theater at 1-800-537-7769.  After taking mom out Mother's Day brunch, we hope to see you there.  Our friends The Frank Feroz Band (who have a great new album they're releasing that night) are opening the show. Nice poster, too, right?

Finally, that takes us to Memorial Day Weekend. Sunday, May 26th at 5:30 PM,  to be exact.  We've been invited to play The Ville Festival  at Clay's Park in North Lawrence, OH.  Many of you will remember Clay's Park as the longtime site of the Alive Festival, which Phil (and Glass Harp) played many times.  So many great bands will be appearing, including Ekoostik Hookah, Rusted Root, and our old friend Col. Bruce Hampton, who just doesn't get "up North" as much as we'd like.  Someone even took the radio commercial and made a Youtube video out of it.

Much has been written in the last decade or so associating us (stylistically) with jam bands, so come out and see us at a proper jam band sort of festival.  It should be lots of fun, and you never know who might end up on stage with whom.  However, buying a 3-day pass just to see us may seem a bit much.  So, the organizers wanted to extend a special offer to our fans, and that's a special $40 ticket which is good for Sunday-only, which you can purchase by clicking here.  It's a holiday weekend, so bring the family and enjoy some music and all the other activities at Clay's Park....and, again, nice poster.
Next time:  New concert announcements for later this year, and maybe, just maybe, a very cool new release to tell you about.  Until then, as always keep an eye on Glassharp.net, Philkeaggy.com, our Facebook page, and follow Glass Harp and  Phil on Twitter.
